A natural instructor!

Rene is a natural instructor and his tutorial series is a great way to pass his knowledge and enthusiasm along. He keeps it fun, you can hear the smile in his voice all the time. Fun! That’s what it’s about! I think I’m a solid skier but I’m always looking to learn and improve. This season’s projects are comfortably skiing fakie/switch, airing it out a little, and better more confident bump skiing. See you on the hill! 😃

Can do, can teach

Once in a while you stumble across someone who cannot only do something but also explain and teach. When it comes to telemark skiing Rene nailed it.
From the first to the last minute the impression sustained that the videos are the essence of years of experience. In doing and teaching. Clear and on point.
Thanks!

Good Practice (Rene's drills) Makes Perfect

I've been Telemark skiing for two seasons, and took lessons in France with a coach who said, "Practice doesn't make perfect. Good practice makes perfect." While that day resulted in several applicable lessons, I had to rely on memory.
After purchasing Rene's videos, I've watched them over and over, focusing on specific drills. I would have these drills in mind when going to the slopes, and dedicate the first half of the day to [good] practice on green runs, by myself while the kids explored the mountain.
The random practice and frustration was replaced with noticeable results in key areas, which then built confidence when I joined the kids skiing after lunch. As an interesting bonus, I noticed that my feet, calves, thighs and back last throughout the entire day.
I can't thank Rene enough for his skill and dedication in providing these videos, and easy-to-understand concepts of technique that is not-so-easy to describe.
Thanks, Rene.

P.S. my son has also started telemark skiing this year.

Skied moguls in powder last week

I bought the series this winter and I've watched the videos over and over. It has moved me from being an intermediate tele skier that only liked skiing groomers on tele to now trying out the moguls. I had my first success last week on a mogul run in some forgiving powder and it truly felt like a breakthrough. I've also learned to slow myself down by making smaller radius, more controlled turns, rather than my previous giant radius, too fast turns. The lesson on edging gave me confidence on steeper icy sections. This series has really gave me valuable things to practice in order to improve. I knew I had a weak side before, but these videos show you what to do about it. Thanks Rene. This has really made a difference in my tele skiing and my enjoyment and understanding of what I can do to improve.

Great Work!!!

I just purchased and viewed the "Fakie" tutorial immediately purchased your full series of tutorials. The video examples of the sequential steps of techniques are very clear . I know that I will be able to execute your instruction and believe that the practice will improve my skills and expand my ability to have fun in varied snow conditions & terrain. Thank you!
